Although it is particularly easy to delete the entire browsing history (including that of your site), it is not always the right solution as you would need to reenter all your details for all the websites you already use. The last thing you want is to open the browsing history on Google Chrome and go through all the entries of different sites trying to scroll down and delete the entries of the specific website.

Since Google Chrome loads only 150 records at a time, you would have to scroll down a lot for a website that has hundreds of hits. Now, you might have opened chrome://history/ on the browser and selected Menu > History > History or pressed Ctrl + H together. Then, you would have typed the name of the website or just a part of it. It would lead to Google Chrome filtering the history. However, the problem with this is that even though it would display all the entries, it would not provide you with the option to check all entries.

Similarly, there is no button on the page for clearing the history. Although you would be able to check the entries one by one, it is simply not practical to do so. It could take you a long to click on all the entries. Therefore, you need a solution to the problem.

Delete Browser History in Microsoft Edge

To delete your browsing history in Microsoft Edge, you can follow these steps:

  • Open Microsoft Edge and click on the Menu button (the three horizontal dots) in the top-right corner of the window.
  • From the menu, select “History” to open the History page.
  • On the History page, click on the “Clear history” button. This will open a dialog box that allows you to select which types of data you want to clear.
  • In the dialog box, select the items that you want to clear, such as “Browsing history”, “Cookies and other site data”, or “Cached images and files”. You can also use the “Time range” drop-down menu to select how much of your history you want to clear (e.g., “Last hour”, “Last 7 days”, etc.).
  • Once you have selected the items that you want to clear, click on the “Clear now” button to delete your browsing history.
  • After your browsing history has been deleted, you can close the History page and continue browsing as usual. Your browsing history will no longer be available, and any websites that you visit from now on will not be added to your history.

Note: Clearing your browsing history will not prevent your online activities from being tracked by other websites or third parties.   • On the History page, you will see a list of the websites that you have visited recently. To remove a specific website from your history, simply hover your mouse cursor over the website’s entry, and then click on the “X” icon that appears on the right side of the entry.
  • After you have removed the websites that you want to delete, you can close the History page and continue browsing as usual. Your browsing history will be updated to reflect the changes that you have made.

Note: This method allows you to selectively remove specific items from your browsing history, but it does not allow you to clear your entire history at once. To clear your entire browsing history in Chrome, you can follow the steps described in my previous answer.

Use Ctrl + A on the Page

To select all the entries, you just have to press Ctrl + A together on the same page. The shortcut will make your life a whole lot easier. All of the listed history entries would be selected when you follow the simply shortcut. You will be beyond surprised by the results. Keep in mind that it might take some time for all of the entries to be selected if there are thousands of entries. You would still need to scroll down to ensure that there are no more entries after using the shortcut. Here is how you can delete an entire site from Google Chrome’s browsing history:

  • Open chrome://history/ on the browser.
  • Simply enter the name of the desired website.
  • Scroll down to make sure that all of the entries appear.
  • Hold Ctrl + A together for checking all of the items.
  • Finally, hold the delete button to delete the entire site for good.
